The Eucharist is "the source and summit of the Christian life." The other sacraments, and indeed all ecclesiastical ministries and works of the apostolate, are bound up with the Eucharist and are oriented toward it. For in the blessed Eucharist is contained the whole spiritual good of the Church, namely Christ himself, our Pasch. (Catechism of the Catholic Church, paragraph 1324)
St. Therese’s Camp invites you to the third-annual young adult overnight retreat, May 10-12, 2024. This year we will deep dive into the Eucharist. Check-in is 6PM Friday night and dismissal is 12 noon on Sunday.
$110 per person before Friday April 19 and $120 after April 19.
Genesis: Eucharist will be led by Deacon Columban Hall, OP from Holy Family Anchorage. Here is his summary of the weekend:
The Eucharist is at the center of the Church's life and worship, as the Sacrament in which her Lord nourishes her and allows her to offer pleasing sacrifice to the Father. The infinite riches of this Sacrament must not only be savored with the heart but contemplated by the mind—yet much of the beauty and meaning of the Eucharist has been forgotten. Why does Our Lord give Himself to us in this way? What do the Fathers and Doctors of the Church have to say about the Eucharist? How can this enrich our own reception of this Most Blessed Sacrament? Come and delve into the mystery and meaning of this sublime spiritual food, the memorial of Christ's atoning sacrifice.
